Innovative projects sought for Gobowen, Selattyn, St Martins and Weston Rhyn LJC
Local people are being encouraged to go along to their next Gobowen, Selattyn, St Martins and Weston Rhyn Local Joint Committee (LJC) and have their say.
The meeting, to be held at St Martins Centre on Tuesday 18 October, 2011, at 7pm, will give residents a chance to discuss the issues which affect them and learn more about the area in which they live.
Items on the agenda include a presentation detailing the success of the summer youth activities, with feedback from young people about what they would like in the area. There will also be an update on other project which received funding last year.
A total of 11 projects have been awarded £10,793, leaving approximately £16,000 available for new applications. Applications are invited from community groups that work to improve the area and offer opportunities at village venues.
Councillor David Lloyd, Chairman of the Gobowen, Selattyn, St Martins and Weston Rhyn Local Joint Committee, said:
”We listen to our community and help drive change in the area. Your comments and concerns help shape our committee’s agenda, so come and talk to us and get your views heard. The funding we are empowered to distribute is spent wisely and makes a real difference.”
