Blog: Dry January – Maria Jones

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be issuing people’s experiences about their Dry January Challenge.  Today, Maria Jones, Account Manager at ip&e Communications, talks about her experience. 

So I’ve taken the plunge and joined fellow colleagues on the Dry January Challenge.  As I’d spent the New Year in Scotland it was of course a wee difficult not to toast the New Year in whilst having a rather nice meal at a local pub on New Year’s Day.  Saying that I persevered and replaced my regular Prosecco with a glass of highland spring water and a slice of lemon (just to make it a bit more exotic).

Now in my third week, I’m finding it a litter easier not to touch the old amber nectar, and hoping my hard efforts will help kick start my goal to losing a few pounds and get back to my old healthier and fitter self again!
