Advanced traffic light sensor and detection equipment will be installed later this week on the traffic signals at the Roman Road/Hereford Road junction in Shrewsbury.

This equipment will further improve the traffic light phasing and link this junction to the traffic signals at Meole Brace Roundabout.

This equipment is being installed as part of the ongoing road improvement works in Shrewsbury and will ensure the flow of traffic is kept moving sufficiently during peak times, and that future journey times are improved.

To enable the work to be carried out safely, temporary traffic signals will be in place at the Roman Road/Hereford Road junction between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 July 2017.
