Rangers at Severn Valley Country Park (SVCP) near Alveley are happy to be working with local company Salvage Cinema to bring Hollywood to the beautiful surroundings of the park.

The team at Salvage Cinema have a huge passion for film, food and great company and they want to share that with as many people as they can, in as many places as they can. They work with local venues to hold film screenings wherever they can, either in a field, a warehouse, on the roof of a building or even on a beach.

At Severn Valley Country Park, there will be two fantastic open air screenings of two fabulous films. Visitors will be able to enjoy their favourite films sitting underneath the stars in the heart of the Severn Valley.

The films were chosen with the help of visitors to the park and visitors to the SVCP Facebook page. On Friday 7 August 2015 Salvage Cinema will be screening the popular musical “Mamma Mia! The Movie”, and on Saturday 8 August 2015 the classic time-travel adventure “Back to the Future”.

Visitors are invited to bring a picnic and low-backed chairs to add to their enjoyment of these films. The teashop will be open for refreshments with ice creams, popcorn, sweets, crisps, and drinks all available.

Visitors can arrive from 8pm and the films will start at 9.15pm. Tickets are adults £11, children £7.50, and people with disabilities plus carer £6.50. A group ticket is available: this admits 10 people and costs £95.
