Have your say at the next Albrighton area LJC on 8 July 2015

The next meeting of the Albrighton area Local Joint Committee (LJC) will be held on Wednesday 8 July 2015 at The Red House, Albrighton starting at 7pm.

As usual the meeting will start with an update from both the Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service and the local policing team about activity locally.

Then, following some concerns locally, Steve Brown, Shropshire Council’s highways, transport and environmental commissioning manager, will be attending the meeting to answer questions relating to the roads and grass verges in the area.

There will also be an update from Neil Willcox, Shropshire Council’s locality commissioning manager, about the ongoing work with communities that is exploring new local management arrangements for a number of the county’s libraries and customer service points. This is a first step in getting a sense of the potential for Albrighton Library to develop a community hub provision, building on all the different activity that already takes place through the library service, volunteers and community groups.

Councillor Malcolm Pate, Chair of the LJC, said:

“This is your opportunity to speak to your councillors direct about the issues that concern you. We know there are concerns locally about the condition of the roads, so why not come along and take part and have your say? This is an ideal opportunity for you to direct your concerns to the people who manage these services.”
