Broseley’s biggest event for young people will take over the Birchmeadow Park and Centre on Sunday 21 September 2014.  The fun-packed day includes no less than 30 different activities for children of all age groups.

Now in its third year, Broseley Youth Day 2014 looks set to be the best yet, with local clubs and organisations ready to make sure young people get an opportunity to experience what is on offer in their area.

Jean Jones, Chair of Broseley Youth Partnership and local Shropshire Councillor for Broseley, said:

‘This year’s youth day promises to be even bigger and better than previous successful years.  With so many organisations being showcased during the day, there really is something for everyone.  I urge young people and families to come along and support the day.  There will be an opportunity to take part in lots of different sports, get creative with arts and crafts, find a new hobby, and even win a prize in the treasure hunt.”

Entry to the festival is just £1 by purchasing a wrist band, which will allow access to all of the activities.  Refreshments and drinks will also be on sale.

Jean Jones added:

“We have secured funding towards the event from Shropshire Council; Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing; Broseley and Barrow Local Joint Committee; Fairness, Respect, Equality Shropshire; and Broseley Town Council.

“The organisers would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who is supporting and participating in this event.”
