Shrewsbury residents can keep cool in the pool this summer, as Quarry Swimming & Fitness Centre’s free, outdoor paddling pool is now open daily.

The outdoor pool is available to use during sessions at 12pm, 1.30pm and 3pm for free. Each session will accommodate up to 80 people on a first come, first served basis.

Free wristbands will be available from The Quarry cafe at the start of each session.

Brian Taylor, Chairman of Shropshire Community Leisure Trust, commented:

“We are delighted to announce the opening of the outdoor paddling pool at The Quarry for the summer holidays.  We look forward to welcoming both new and returning customers to  the pool, and by implementing the new sessions we aim to allow more customers to be able to benefit from using the pool.”

The pool is open daily, dependent on the weather.  Customers are advised to check the website or contact the centre if unsure.
