Shropshire Council are running a three-week digital photography course for beginners at Weston Rhyn Institute.  The first session will take place on Monday 8 October between 7pm and 8.30pm.

The course is aimed at learners who have some basic computer knowledge but would like to learn how to use their camera.  The sessions will include how to transfer photos, as well as making basic alterations to images.

Pam Manley from Weston Rhyn Institute said:

“Anyone who has been given a digital camera, but isn’t quite sure how to use it, will find this course very helpful.  You can learn how to get your photos from the camera on to the computer, as well as saving pictures so they can be found again.”

Anyone is welcome to attend, and support is available to those who don’t feel confident to technology.  Equipment is available, but learners can bring their own laptop and camera if they have them.  There will be a charge of £4 per session or £10 for the three weeks, payable on the day.  It is likely to be popular so you are advised book your place in advance.

Sessions are suitable for adults of any age.  To book or for more information contact Flavia or Sara on 01743 252571.  Alternatively email broadplaces@shropshire.gov.uk.
